The story
It started on an Apple II Europlus in the early 1980s. Then came the Macintosh — and with it, colour on the Macintosh II, and the feeling that computers could be something you actually enjoyed using. That feeling never went away.
Four decades later, the tools have changed but the instinct is the same: build things for people who care about their machines. People who notice when software is well-made. People who'd rather pay once for something good than subscribe to something bloated.
Along the way there's been creative software used by millions of people, an appearance on an Apple launch keynote, and a moment sitting behind Woz at a convention in New York wondering how any of this happened. But the best part was always the same: making something, shipping it, and hearing that someone found it useful.

The name
Coldflint comes from Norfolk flint — the stone you find in every field and churchyard wall in this county. It's ancient, cold to the touch, smooth where it's been worked. Not decorative. Functional. That's the goal: software that feels well-made and built to last.
