Chime· Privacy
Your data is yours.
Chime does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Full stop.
What Chime stores
Chime saves your preferences — sound choice, volume, interval, quiet hours, and Focus mode settings — locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
What Chime does not do
- Chime does not collect analytics or usage data.
- Chime does not use any third-party SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks.
- Chime does not require an account or sign-in.
- Chime does not connect to the internet for any reason.
- Chime does not require any special macOS permissions.
Focus mode
Chime reads your macOS Focus/Do Not Disturb state to silence chimes when you've asked not to be disturbed. This check is performed locally and no data is sent anywhere.
Children's privacy
Chime does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. Given that Chime collects no data, changes are unlikely.
