Cue

Cue· Privacy

Your data is yours.

Cue does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Full stop.

What Cue stores

Cue saves your session configuration — display assignments, playback settings, and file references — locally on your Mac. Configuration files (.cueset) are saved wherever you choose. Your last session is auto-saved in the app's sandboxed container so it can be restored on launch.

Cue uses security-scoped bookmarks to remember which video files you've selected, so you don't have to re-pick them every time. These bookmarks are stored locally and never leave your device.

What Cue does not do

  • Cue does not collect analytics or usage data.
  • Cue does not use any third-party SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks.
  • Cue does not require an account or sign-in.
  • Cue does not connect to the internet for any reason.
  • Cue does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any system resource beyond the video files you explicitly select.

File access

Cue only accesses video files that you explicitly open via drag-and-drop or the file picker. It runs in a macOS sandbox and cannot browse or read files without your direct action.

Children's privacy

Cue does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. Given that Cue collects no data, changes are unlikely.
