Typo· Privacy
Your data is yours.
Typo does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Full stop.
What Typo stores
Typo saves your preferences — favourite transforms and recent usage — locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
What Typo does not do
- Typo does not collect analytics or usage data.
- Typo does not log, store, or transmit any text you transform.
- Typo does not use any third-party SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks.
- Typo does not require an account or sign-in.
- Typo does not connect to the internet for any reason.
How Typo receives your text
Typo registers text transforms as macOS Services. When you invoke a transform — via the Services menu or a keyboard shortcut you bind in System Settings — macOS passes your selected text directly to Typo, Typo transforms it, and macOS pastes the result back in place.
No text is ever stored, logged, or transmitted. The transform happens entirely in memory and the original selection is never written to disk.
Children's privacy
Typo does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. Given that Typo collects no data, changes are unlikely.
